This 50mm Genuine NZ Greenstone Triple Twist Necklace is carved in a beautiful Maori love twist.
It's hard to find a triple twist at the best of times. They are harder to carve than a single or double twist.
So it's wonderful to find one this one, with its medium size and excellent thickness, and in a lovely mid green.
This pounamu triple twist measures approximately 50mm (2") long, and hangs from a long black adjustable cord.
The design carries a Maori spiritual meaning.
The triple twist represents the joining of cultures, the bonding of friendship for life. The design shows the joining of two people in love or friendship for eternity, so makes a wonderful wedding or friendship gift. The twist can also relate to the joining of two peoples or cultures.
It's a beautiful piece of pounamu, and a beautiful piece of carving.
The stone is from the Hokitika region of New Zealand.
