This beautiful Chocolate Brown Maori Feather Cloak is called a Korowai, although the correct Maori name for it is kahu huruhuru.

The feather cloak is made by a lovely Maori lady of Ngati Porou descent. She blesses each korowai with a karakia.

The top of this cloak is finished with a woven taniko tape. Feathers used start with white at the top, then a mix of chocolate brown feathers and paua feathers.  Near the lower edge stripes of white feathers are layered with the chocolate/paua. The inside of the korowai is lined with black fabric.  The cloak is sewn on a sewing machine, making it affordable.
