This Genuine NZ Greenstone Pikorua Twist Necklace with Tail is like a twist with a "twist".
It's a classic Maori greenstone love twist, then it has that beautiful tail to give it that point of difference.
It's beautiful, regardless of whether you think it is traditional or traditional with a modern "twist" (there's that word again!).
The pikorua, or double twist, depicts two lives growing together. It signifies true love or friendship between two people or cultures.
So it's a lovely gift, and it's a beautiful piece of carving.
The greenstone is from the Hokitika region of New Zealand, and the double twist necklace measures approximately 65mm (2 3/4") long.
The pounamu hangs from a long black plaited cord.
