This Greenstone Maori Side Hung Tiki Necklace is a beautiful large piece.
Carved from greenstone, a nephrite jade, the Tiki has paua shell eyes.
The Tiki depicts the first mortal born to the Gods. It is also a strong fertility symbol, with the hands on the loins symbolising fertility. The Tiki is a good luck charm, and believed to give the wearer clarity of thought and great inner knowledge.
This beautifully carved piece measures approximately 8cm (3 1/8") wide, and hangs from a long plaited cord with adjustable knots, so you can position it where you want on your chest.
