Kremelta is an essential ingredient for Chocolate Crackles, the party treat for all New Zealand kids parties.
I also use Kremelta in pastry, and find it gives a better result than butter alone.
Kremelta is solid coconut fat and does not require refrigeration.
Chocolate Crackles Recipe
250g Kremelta
4 c Rice Bubbles
1 c icing sugar, sifted
3 Tbsp Cocoa
1 c dessicated coconut (optional)
Melt Kremelta in a saucepan over low heat. Mix in Rice Bubbles, sugar, cocoa, coconut. Spoon mixture into 24 patty containers. Set in refrigerator.
