This lovely Morepork Hand Puppet comes with authentic recorded sound from New Zealand's native bush.
The plush morepork toy stands approximately 27cm (10 5/8") tall and can sit by itself. Inside the puppet is a stick you can use to turn his head round. Squeeze one wing to hear his sound.
The Morepork is known as the Ruru in Maori. The morepork name comes from the sound of the call it makes at night. The Morepork is an owl, and is mostly nocturnal. He is widespread throughout New Zealand, feeding on large insects like grasshoppers, spiders, and wetas, as well as small birds and mice.
