This beautiful Greenstone Manaia Hook Necklace combines two powerful Maori spiritual symbols in one pendant.
The necklace is primarily a Manaia, the Maori guardian spirit. The Manaia is a spiritual guardian, warding off evil spirits. The design has always been a favourite in the New Zealand armed forces.
The Maori Hei Matau (hook) design signifies good health, prosperity and safe travel over water.
This Maori Manaia is made even more beautiful with the Maori carving along the lower edge of the Manaia, and the NZ Paua Shell eye.
This Greenstone Manaia is hand made in New Zealand, from New Zealand Greenstone Jade (pounamu) from the West Coast of the South Island.
Length of the Manaia is approximately 7 cm (2 3/4"). The Manaia rests on a long, traditional black adjustable cord. It comes to you on a card detailing its spiritual meaning.
You can choose from a Matt (first 2 photos) or a Polished finish (3rd photo), but please note that if we are out of stock of either one, we reserve the right to ship what we have in stock,as this is a popular necklace that we quite often run out of.

Currently (January 2021), Airmail to Australia and the USA is taking about 5 weeks, and Airmail to the UK and Europe is taking 6-7 weeks. Airmail to South America is at least 8 weeks, and allow up to 12 weeks.
Economy Courier and Express Courier are up to 10 working days worldwide.
As always, we do not guarantee Airmail or Courier shipping times, as they are beyond our control.
Courier shipping times within New Zealand are approximately one working day to the North Island, 2 working days to the South Island (with an overnight option available at a different price), and up to 3 days to rural areas.
