This small Maori Carved Taiaha is perfect for those who don't have room for a full size taiaha in their house or office.

This taiaha measures approximately 46cm (18") long.

This replica pre-European weapon is made from native matai timber. Full size taiaha were approximately 1.5metres long, although the length varied depending on the warrior's height. But this is a nice size for those who do not want the full size version.

Although it looks like a spear, the taiaha was used mostly for jabbing with the tongue end, and hitting with the flattened lower end. The shaft is usually rounded, like this one.

Buy just the taiaha, or the taiaha on a stand, or the taiaha on an engraved stand, or an engraved taiaha. The engraving is either into the wood or on a gold plaque.
